| Star Fox: Assault is the most anticipated game around here, except for the new Zelda game. Star Fox: Assault is so anticipated because playing a brand new true Star Fox game hasn't happened for 8 years, since Star Fox 64. Star Fox: Assault focuses a lot on the new stuff. There's a new plot involving a former Star Wolf team member, and plenty of action we know and love. This is the game to bring back Star Fox fans, and make new ones. | "Star Fox: Assault available for rent early": created on January 28th, 2005 Nintendo announced two days ago that Star Fox: Assault will be available for rent at Blockbuster Video and Hollywood Video beginning Tuesday, February 1st. This means gamers can practically own the game in just a few days. Those who truly want to own it though will have to wait until the actual street date of February 15th. In the past, there have been some games exclusively available at Blockbuster Video, but those were third-party titles that weren't that great (Razor Freestyle Scooter and Transformers for Nintendo 64). This is not only a first-party title, it is also a major one. This is the first time in history that a video game has been available for rent before it is available for buy. The reason behind this is unknown, but it is thought to be a way for Nintendo to make some early cash on the game and/or build hype. I personally don't like this because I have to rent it to play it first, and that wasn't planned. We are still getting the final copy on February 15th, and I think other websites are getting the same treatment. If you've got some extra cash, it could be worth your while to seize this oppurtunity! |
