DVD Features and Extras Review While this DVD features one of my favorite episodes (Episode 17) and the others are pretty good, it's disappointing to see that Bandai is skimping on another special feature-an interview with a cast member. While I'm sure Cartoon Network had something to do with being able to get some cast members together for these interviews, they should have been able to do at least 6 interviews. We've heard from the voice of Takeshi, Liz, Yamma and Andrei. What about Kari Wahlgren? She did two voices (Luca and Miss Satomi). That seemed like an obvious interviewee, to me. And what about Amy, voiced by Hyden Walch. There's two people right there. With this show, I could name a ton more of possible people. But it's not here, which is disappointing. Fortunately, the Uncut version of the 5th mini-series episode is here. This DVD will likely garner preference for its episodes, anyways. In fact, people usually only buy DVDs for the episodes and not necessarily for the Extras. Still, it would have been better if they had more here. And I also go back to the previous review, where they should have spread out the bonus features a little more. For example, we get two interviews in the first two volumes. Why couldn't they have spread those out? This only leads to the later DVDs, where we begin to expect even less bonus features |
