The IGPX Action Reports Archive

This was the first race of the second round of regular season races
of this year's IG-1 League. For Team White Snow, who just climbed
to the IG-1 for the first time this year, this first race in the IG-1
came, more or less, with a sense of pressure, especially coming off
the heels of being the IG-2 champions last year. However, looking
at the end result, they came away with 25 points (1st, 2nd and 4th
place). On the interview platform after the race, team leader Zanak
Strauss humbly denied the reporter's claim that they crushed Team
Satomi, saying, "We just had some lucky plays and caught them on
an off day." They also showed concern for Team Satomi's slump
due to Amy's injuries from this race. These refreshing words and
conduct from White Snow is sure to usher in new audiences to the
IGPX.

On the other hand, Team Satomi's attack style was something of a
pusillanimous nature this race. Not only were their preemptive
attacks successfully dodged, the exact same attack was
immediately copied and Takeshi received a direct blow. If that
wasn't enough, Team Satomi was toyed with by the Inner Edge
attack* that Team White Snow unleashed. Takeshi and Liz only
barely managed to cross the finish line, and just like the first race,
their mechs were quite tattered. Amy, who retired midway through
the race, is said to be out for 20 days recovering from her injuries.

Is this really the team that conquered the IG-1 last year? According
to an opinion poll taken by "2nd Audience", only 14.3% agree with
the statement that Team Satomi's attack style is "adequate for
being the champion team". It's unfortunate to see that this is
already the result of Team Satomi's loss here, and we will see what
the future holds for Team Satomi this year.

*Regarding Team White Snow's mech's arms making prolonged
contact with Team Satomi's mechs, it has been said that Team
Satomi lost control of their mechs. A formal complaint was filed and
recognized by the IGPX Arbitration Committee. In response to the
complaint, the committee will accept written reports from both
teams within 10 days, and will make an announcement regarding its
findings within 15 days. The committee will then hold a meeting to
state whether they accept or reject the contents of the complaint
filed as valid.
